CCQ participates in World ICT Skills Competition in China

​A delegation from CCQ's Information Technology Program is taking part in the 2017 World ICT Skills Competition currently being held at Huawei's headquarter in China. The participation of the Community College of Qatar in the competition comes as part of its keenness to link the academic activities with the practical aspect and provide the Qatari community with promising national cadres in the field of information technology.

With more than 100 undergraduate and master's degree students from local universities and colleges participated in the preliminary competition organized by Huawei in cooperation with Hamad Bin Khalifa University, CCQ student Ms. Fatimaezahra Harim achieved the first place at Huawei ICT Skills Competition at the national level and qualified for the finals.

The competition aims to discover potential local talent in ICT from university students around the world and to develop and equip them with the latest technical sciences and the latest developments in the world of technology that will enable them to lead the digital transformation in their countries.

The finalists from all participating countries will compete, over five days, for the program of technical knowledge and practical advanced applications. The winner of the first place will receive a prize of $30,000, while two teams will take the second place and three teams will share the third place.
