CCQ participates at the 8th edition of University Expo Qatar as the event’s Gold Sponsor

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) is participating at the 8th Annual University Expo Qatar, which kicked off today at the Qatar National Convention Centre under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Higher Education His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi, as the event’s gold sponsor.

The two-day exhibition brings high school students, parents, school administrators, career advisors and key academic influencers under one roof to network and explore educational opportunities at more than 50 prestigious universities, colleges and academic institutions that represent more than 15 countries at the event.

CCQ’s dedicated booth at the event serves as a platform for more than 3,000 visiting students, from the 60 Independent and private schools represented at the exhibition, to navigate through the College’s academic programs that span a multitude of exciting fields and disciplines. The high-demand degree programs are tailored for the local and international job market needs and have been developed to meet the requirements of a 21st century knowledge-based society.

Commenting on the College’s participation at the prominent higher education fair, CCQ’s President Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Naemi, said:
“As one of Qatar’s leading national educational institutions, we are proud to be supporting and sponsoring the country’s premier higher education exhibition under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education. We are also excited to be an active member in helping high school students plan for their future and learn more about the different learning routes at CCQ and many other eminent academic institutions from all over the world.”

He added: “Throughout the two-day exhibition, our representatives are going to be available at the College’s booth to share more information with visiting students about the holistic learning experience at CCQ and the multi-disciplinary programs we offer at the College. Finally, the Expo also presents students with the opportunity to join the ranks of many successful CCQ alumni who went on to assume leading positions at prominent institutions, or further their education at one of our select partner universities in the US and Australia.”

As part of the College’s participation, Chair of the Information Technology Program Dr. Mohammed Al-Dorani is presenting visitors and stakeholders with an insightful seminar titled ‘The importance of Cybersecurity in protecting Qatar’s infrastructure’. Dr. Dorani’s presentation is among the event’s 30 interactive seminars discussing important topics such as scholarships, managing finances as a student, top application tips, and studying abroad.

Moreover, the College’s academic advisors met one-on-one with students who were interested in discovering the diverse range of learning paths students can take forward at CCQ in order to help them determine their life paths and prepare them to become future leaders of the nation. The advisors provided inquiring students with first-hand information on the application process at the College, as well as personalized advice and detailed explanations on the right programs for their career choices.

CCQ’s partaking at the Expo comes in the framework of its ongoing efforts to bring a holistic student-centered education to Qatar’s younger generation and help them define a brighter future for themselves and their communities. The event is also a great opportunity to foster and strengthen the College’s partnership with leading schools in the country to open more educational horizons for Qatari youth and ensure students’ successful and smooth transition from high school to college life.
