CCQ students visit the Qatar National Library

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) recently organized a field visit to the Qatar National Library for its students enrolled in the “Introduction to Mass Communication” course, as part of the applied learning part of the ‘report writing’ module.

At the outset of the event, students were introduced to the library’s different sections and learned about the rich variety of books available, which reach more than one million and cover many languages, in addition to the various services available to college students, educational institutions and learners.

The students, accompanied by Associate Professor of Media Studies at the College Dr. Ahmed Abdul Malik, listened to explanations from specialists on the advanced borrowing services available at the library, as well as the contents of the historical and literary documents pavilion, which is considered the most important section in the Library due to the scarcity of books and documents it contains.

The visit comes within the framework of CCQ’s ongoing efforts to enrich the learning experience of its students through a wide spectrum of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The visit was also organized in line with the College’s focus on the importance of providing field visits to its students in order to help them link their theoretical learning to its practical applications in the real world, thereby helping them achieve progress academically and professionally.
