With the Participation of CCQ, Qatari Student Team Claims Outstanding Performance Award at Huawei ICT Competition’s Regional Finals
The Qatari team of three students claimed the Outstanding Performance Award at the Huawei ICT Competition’s Middle East Regional Finals 2022, held in the Omani capital Muscat.

Community College of Qatar (CCQ), represented by student Ahmad Al-Binali– a Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Network Security program, participated in the Competition as part of the Qatari team under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE). The Qatari team included two other students, namely, Hassan Khan from Qatar University, and Saad Hamid from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Vice President of Huawei in the Middle East and Central Asia Chunli Wang praised the Qatari team, which won the award for outstanding performance, after several months of national and regional competitions amid the participation of the brightest young minds and leading academic institutions in the region. This is despite their elimination from the Huawei global competition, which will be held in Shanghai, China, next year.

Anis Al Taroudi, a software engineer at HBKU and the supervisor of the Qatari team participating in the competition, told QNA that the distinction of the Qatari team is ascribed to their training and education during their preparation, especially with the tools provided by Huawei to the participants, expressing optimism about the performance of the Qatari teams in the upcoming editions.

It is worth mentioning that all the 45 students, who participated in this edition of the competition, were selected for an internship program at Huawei in their respective countries.
