A group of female students from the Management Science Division at the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) paid a visit to the Shura Council and participated in its regular weekly session, chaired by HE Speaker of the Shura Council Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanem. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to gain knowledge about the parliamentary mechanisms functioning of parliamentary work in the country and the pivotal role played by the Council as a key and active partner in supporting comprehensive national development efforts.
The students observed how the Council deliberated on the topics listed on its agenda, which touched on issues that are of concern to the nation and its citizens. They also learned about the Council's dedication to raising topics that contribute to the advancement of the country in all sectors to achieving sustainable development.
The students valued this visit as it aligns with CCQ’s social and educational commitment to providing its students with various opportunities for knowledge acquisition and continuous learning. The primary aim of the visit was to acquaint the Management Science Division’s students with the principles of democracy, constructive dialogue, and the art of expressing opinions freely, frankly, and transparently. In addition, such field visits equip students with real-life experiences that can augment their academic performance and practical skills and ultimately prepare them for their future careers.
