PROGRAM NAME Associate of Applied Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThe Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is designed to prepare students for management careers in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, purchasing, and international logistics. Students will study logistics principles and practices involved in procurement, transportation, storage, inventory control, warehouse management, and third party provision as they apply to solving management problems in movement, storage, control, and information flow. The program includes a practical training course at select organizations in Qatar.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the AAS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program students will be able to:

  1. Describe major logistics functions and activities.
  2. Differentiate logistics and supply chain management.
  3. Describe alternative ways to organize for supply chain management.
  4. Describe methods of inventory planning.
  5. Compare modes of transportation and related policies.
  6. Describe warehouse processes, systems, and performance measures.
  7. Demonstrate business ethics, a strong work ethic and solution to critical business issues.
  8. Demonstrate management and leadership skills.
  9. Explain purchasing processes, policies, and procedures.
  10. Demonstrate the influence of supply and demand theories in various business situations.
  11. Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply law and ethics to various business situations.
  12. Demonstrate the impact of logistics and supply chain operations on an organization's bottom line.
  13. Manage customer and supplier relationships in order to meet objectives of the organization.
  14. Demonstrate knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations in today's business environment.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Existing CCQ students:

  • 1- GPA 2.25
  • 2- Finish 15 credit hours (College Level)
  • 3- No behavioral issues
