PROGRAM NAME Associate of Applied Science in Customs Management
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The AAS degree in Customs Management is a two-year degree program that provides students with critical knowledge and skills in the field of customs and border protection. This program is designed to prepare individuals that are seeking employment in the field of customs and border management, or for current customs employees wishing to advance their careers at their workplace.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the AAS in Customs Management program students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a broad level of knowledge of the principles and practices of customs administration including legislation, policy and procedures.
  2. Exercise technical skills in analysing and evaluating border-related matters.
  3. Apply problem-solving skills required to develop solutions to a wide range of customs issues in the international context.
  4. Establish a platform for self-directed and lifelong learning in the field of customs.
  5. Exhibit the interpersonal and teamwork in addition to other skills appropriate to both employment and further study.
  6. Exhibit levels of academic writing and information literacy appropriate to the higher education context.
  7. Understand traditional and contemporary aspects of international customs management.

New students:
