PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology – Network and Systems Administration concentration is a 2 + 2-degree program designed to prepare students for entry level positions as Network and Systems Administrators, Systems and Computer Support Specialists,

Network Systems Analysts, IT Infrastructure Planner, Server Room Coordinators and other related careers. Upon the completion of the AS in Information Technology at CCQ or other accredited institutions, students will complete the remaining credit hours in order to earn the BS in Information Technology – Network and Systems Administration concentration. Total Credit Hours: 120

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

This program is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and competencies for each course. Upon successful completion of the BS degree in Information Technology –Network and Systems Administration concentration, students will be able to:

  • Identify, install and maintain components of an Information Technology: hubs, routers, servers, etc.
  • Respond to and Solve common desktop and network issues, and locate solution resources.
  • Evaluate future technologies through acquired foundational skills and knowledge and employ them in new business environments.
  • Design and administer networks: installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
