Community College of Qatar (CCQ) and the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar (CNA-Q) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see the 2 organizations work together on a number of projects and initiatives that will further enhance academic and training programs, and research and help support Qatar National Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohamed Al-Naemi, President, CCQ and Dr. Khalifa Al-Khalifa, President, CNA-Q at a ceremony held at CNA-Q and attended by executives and leadership from both Colleges.

The MoU follows the formation, last year, of a committee established to develop academic integration between technical Colleges in Qatar and will allow the two Colleges to conduct joint projects, allow for joint curriculum development and content, and for the secondment of faculty members.

Commenting on the MoU, Dr. Mohamed Al-Naemi, President, CCQ said: “We are delighted to cooperate with CNA-Q. CCQ strives to collaborate with like-minded institutions and today’s agreement is a testimony to our commitment to academic excellence. This MoU will encourage collaborations in areas of mutual benefit, such as research, training and academic visits, as well as joint work on common educational programs and activities. We look forward to broadening and enhancing the ties between our two institutions and further enriching our students' educational experience.”

He added: "In line with CCQ's aim to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions in the country through its bachelor's degree programs, CNA-Q associate degree holders are now able to obtain a CCQ Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering."
