​The Community College of Qatar (CCQ), in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), launched a seasonal influenza vaccination campaign, with free vaccines made available for faculty and staff members across all CCQ campuses starting November 15, 2020.

The campaign marks CCQ’s extended efforts to provide a safe and healthy environment for all its members and to maintain the public health of the community, especially with healthcare experts stressing the importance of receiving the vaccine this year more than ever amid the continued Covid-19 pandemic.

It is worth mentioning that influenza viruses typically circulate as the weather changes and can cause serious illness and hospitalization. Therefore, the Ministry of Public Health recommends getting the annual influenza vaccination for all persons aged 6 months and older who do not have contraindications, mainly for high-risk persons.
