CCQ, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Sign MoU

​The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) announced signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) for cooperation in the fields of scientific and knowledge exchange. The MoU stresses the importance of exchanging experiences between higher education institutions and the role this plays in serving the community and the country. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Al-Naemi, CCQ President, and Dr Abdelwahab El Affendi, Acting President of DI, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both parties.

The MoU states that cooperation between the two parties will be in a number of areas, the most prominent of which is the exchange of experiences in the academic and research fields, as well as students’ exchange and organizing joint activities and events - including conferences, seminars and training sessions. As well, the agreement addresses cooperation in attracting students and between the different administrative sectors to prepare executive programs through separate agreements.

Dr. Mohamed Al-Naemi, CCQ President, stated on this occasion: “We are pleased to sign this MoU with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, a leading higher education institution that embraces distinguished expertise and competencies. We are confident that this cooperation will achieve our common goals, enrich our academic experience, and open horizons for cooperation in the fields of research, scientific and knowledge exchange, as well as other areas. We always strive to exchange experiences with other scientific institutions to achieve common goals in the academic and research fields to promote scientific development that serves the goals of our beloved country and contributes to achieving sustainable human development.”

Dr Abdelwahab El Affendi, Acting President of DI, highlighted the significance of signing this MoU with CCQ and the vital role the College plays in supporting education in the State of Qatar. Dr El Affendi indicated that the MoU reflects DI’s belief in the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions to raise the efficiency of their performance to fulfill total quality standards for the sake of the country and the community. Dr. El Affendi added, “We look forward to more cooperation with higher education institutions in Qatar. We hope that this cooperation will achieve the desired goals to enrich the educational, research and academic experience, implement joint projects and activities and encourage mutual training visits in a way that supports the achievement of the human development pillar of Qatar's National Vision 2030.”

It is noteworthy to mention that the two parties have agreed that this MoU will be the foundation for cooperation between them with the possibility of forming committees and joint teams, as well as holding consultation meetings to coordinate various related fields in order to support and enhance the cooperation in the various areas of common interest.
