The Community college of Qatar celebrates the graduation of 2021 Class and its 10th anniversary

​Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, The Community College of Qatar celebrates the graduation of its 10th batch of associate’s and bachelor’s degree holders on Monday, November 1, at 6:30 pm.

The college pointed out that this year’s ceremony which marks the graduation of 865 promising specialized national cadres in multiple fields, will be held at the Qatar National Convention Center in line with the all the necessary precautionary measures set by the Ministry of Public Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

This year’s celebration coincides with the 10th anniversary of the college, during which it succeeded in developing a unique model for higher education as well as scientific and institutional excellence in the State of Qatar. All through providing a range of unique educational opportunities and a flexible learning environment for lifelong learning.
On this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Al-Naemi, CCQ President, pointed out that this year’s ceremony marks a distinguished journey through which CCQ has witnessed many developments and achievements that made a significant contribution to Qatar National Vision 2030, especially where related to the human development pillar, since its establishment by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in 2010 as part of the country’s determined endeavors towards producing an educated population.

The president of the college added that the academic programs CCQ offers have increased significantly during the past 10 years. From two associate’s degree programs to 14 associate’s degree and 6 bachelor’s degree programs, CCQ expanded its academic programs in coordination with various government and private entities to meet the evolving job market needs of specialized Qatari cadres, and offers a wide range of degrees to complement the programs offered by other universities, where CCQ was the first higher education institution in Qatar to offer a BS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a BS in Cyber & Network Security, as well as the BA in Project Management and the BA in Human Resource Management. Moreover, the College’s English Language Center was granted a five-year accreditation at the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, by the Commission on English Language Accreditation (CEA), an internationally recognized accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the US.

In the context of the developments in the health situation in the country and as part of the gradual lifting of measures imposed to limit the spread of the Coronavirus “COVID-19”, the college announced that attending the ceremony is only open to those who are fully vaccinated, provided that 14 days have passed since they received the second dose, and those who have recovered from the virus, provided that an official certificate of immunity from MOPH is presented. Individuals who did not complete the 2nd dose or did not take the vaccine, are required to take a rapid antigen test at a medical center accredited by the Ministry of Public Health; The test result must be negative and must be done 24 hours before the ceremony.
