Program DescriptionThe Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education is designed to prepare graduates with required critical knowledge and skills to educate and teach children. Students will learn the basic skills in the field of childcare and education according to the best practices of children's developmental needs.

Program Objectives

The Program aims to produce graduates who are able to:

  1. Know the main early childhood education learning theories to understand children's development and their needs.
  2. Develop skill-based incentives using technology.
  3. Promote the selection and design of educational activities, suitable assessment tools inside and outside the classroom.
  4. Develop learning strategies that are suitable to student's needs and progress.
  5. Assessing children's learning process by applying different methods.
  6. Promoting critical thinking and peer-based assessments in light of moral and professional interaction.
Learning Outcomes

By the time of graduation, students will be able to:

  • Make use of the principles of children's learning based on the theories of childhood education.
  • Use instructional technology to encourage and support children's learning.
  • Plan activities and learning skills to increase leaning abilities.
  • Assessing children's development and leaning through different and suitable methods.
  • Use of learning and teaching strategies that support individual specificities.
  • Employ professional ethics in all circumstances.

Admission Policy

·        New Students:​

·        Applicants must follow CCQ's admission process outlined at the New Student webpage.

Current students:

  1. Complete a minimum of 15 hours and no more than 30 credit hours as college requirement
  2. An average of no less than 2.0

    Remark: limited number of students are accepted
