​​​​​​​​​​CCQ may award credits for an academic course that was completed at accredited public and private colleges and universities, upon meeting the following requirements:
- The academic institution must be recognized and accredited by one of the recognized accreditation bodies, or accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar
- The student must be previously enrolled in a formal education​. Certificates by affiliation will not be accepted
- Coursework taken from a training institute will not be accepted for transfer to CCQ​
- If the student’s course follows the European system, it is the student’s responsibility to submit an evaluation of course equivalency in the American system. Students can refer to websites that provide such services, including World Education Services
- Non-credit introductory courses, such as competency development in English or Mathematics, or English as a Second Language (English Language Centers) cannot be transferred
- Credits may be awarded for courses from an accredited private or public university or college with a grade of Good “C” or better, or a numerical grade of 70 or higher. Such course will be included in the student's study plan but will not be calculated into the GPA
- CCQ will not award credits that are older than five years except in the circumstances where the student has completed an associate degree or bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar.

The course shall be considered for transfer only if the following conditions are met:
1) Equivalent course objectives
2) Equivalent educational outcomes
3) The content of the transfer course corresponds to 70%, or above, of CCQ’s course content
4) Equivalent number of CCQ’s credit hours or higher
 
Associate Degree: Students may transfer up to 42 credit hours in the associate degree program. A minimum of 18 credit hours must be taken at CCQ in order to earn an associate degree and the last 18 credit hours must be taken at CCQ.

Bachelor's Degree: Students may transfer up to 72 credit hours in the bachelor’s degree program. A minimum of 48 credit hours must be taken at CCQ in order to earn a bachelor’s degree and the last 30 credit hours of the major requirements in the degree program must be taken at CCQ.
 
Required Documents
The official documents below must be submitted to the Student Affairs & Relations Section or via email SAR.transfer@ccq.edu.qa during the times announced in order to transfer the course credits:
- If the student has not yet graduated, an official transcript of current grades must be provided in a stamped and sealed envelope
- If the student graduated from a university abroad, an equivalency certificate must be obtained from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. A stamped and a sealed envelope for the transcript is not required
- Course description (detailed curriculum plan) for the courses the student completed with a grade of Good “C” (70) or higher
- Course content for the courses the student completed with a grade of Good “C” (70) or higher
- A copy of a graduation statement if the student was a graduate
- A copy of a valid Qatari ID
- The application for transfer of course credits is submitted with all required documents to the relevant academic departments according to courses. Upon their approval, the Student Affairs & Relations Section​ informs the student of the approval, the equivalent courses, and the transfer of student’s hours.
