The Science and Technology Division honors 60 male and female students as part of the Dean's and Honors Lists

​The Science and Technology Division at the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) celebrated the recognition of 60 outstanding male and female students included in the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Spring and Fall semesters of 2023-2024. The honored students were from various Bachelor of Science programs, including Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Cyber & Network Security. Additionally, students from the Associate of Science (AS) in Engineering Technology, AS in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and AS in Information Technology were also recognized.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Khawla Al-Zoubi, Dean of Science & Technology Division, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghushami, Head of Information Technology Department, Dr. Mustapha El-Halabi, Head of the Engineering Technology Department, as well as the distinguished students, along with several faculty members and guests.
The students' ceremony witnessed the recognition of 31 outstanding female students who achieved placement on the Dean's and Honors Lists. Among them were 17 distinguished female students from the Spring 2023 semester, and 14 distinguished female students from the Fall 2023 semester. Similarly, the male students' ceremony honored 29 students who made it to the Dean's and Honors Lists, including 11 students from the Spring 2023 semester and 18 students from the Fall 2023 semester.

Students must maintain a cumulative GPA ranging from 3.60 to 4.00 to qualify for the Dean's List. As for students on the Honors List, they must maintain a cumulative GPA ranging from 3.35 to 3.59 for the semester.

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Zoubi, expressed her delight in this exceptional achievement by a constellation of students from the division who have worked diligently and persevered to achieve academic excellence. Today, their efforts are rewarded by their inclusion in the Dean's List and the Honors List for the Spring and Fall 2023 semesters.

She added that the achieved excellence was nothing but the result of clear vision and goal understanding among the students of CCQ. They have strived diligently, shown patience, accepted challenges, and overcome obstacles no matter how difficult. Therefore, we eagerly look forward to witnessing the impact of our students' academic excellence, which reflects professional achievements that contribute to serving the community and building the nation. She called upon everyone to continue this excellence in the upcoming academic semesters, support their peers through peer learning methods, and work with a team spirit to achieve further success in the future.

The distinguished student Reem Saad Al-Kuwari, speaking on behalf of the outstanding students, described the moment of recognition as wonderful. She added, "Today, we stand among the distinguished, serving as role models in knowledge and education for others. Therefore, it is our right to take pride in the academic achievements we have accomplished during the past semester, and we promise to achieve further success and excellence in the future." On the other hand, the outstanding student Mohammed Hassan Al-Asfar, the master of ceremonies for the student recognition ceremony, said, "This recognition crowns a stage of hard work and dedication, during which we have demonstrated the immense potential that comes with determination to achieve success. This journey does not end today; rather, we will continue to strive for excellence with hard work and perseverance, proudly raising the banner of knowledge and education."
