CCQ president visits the Student Council booth at “Garangao Night”

Dr. Khalid Mohamed Al-Horr, President of CCQ, visited the booth of the College's Student Council, which was participating in the festivities of the celebration of the mid-Sha'ban night known as ‘Garangao Night’. The event took place at Al-Hazm Mall in collaboration with the 'Hour by Hour' initiative. Dr. Al-Horr was briefed by the council members on the activities offered at the booth for visitors.

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Horr expressed his delight during the visit at the participation of the Student Council in this beautiful heritage event. He highlighted that it reflects the students' belief in the importance of fulfilling their social roles and responsibilities towards their community by promoting Qatari heritage and national cultural identity.

The participation of the Student Council of CCQ aims to introduce the “Garangao” celebration, which is part of the Ramadan customs and traditions widespread in Qatar and the Arab Gulf region in general. It also aims to revive the popular heritage by focusing on the cultural and traditional aspects, preserving them, and bringing joy to the hearts of children. The booth witnessed a remarkable turnout and garnered significant interaction from children and their families.
