​​​​​​​​The five departments constituting the Liberal Arts Division, Educational Programs, Theater Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Language and Literature offer courses supporting students from two perspectives. Two departments, Educational Programs and Theater Arts, offer programs leading to Associate of Arts diplomas in their areas, supporting students for professional goals and further studies in the fields of education and theater. Further, the five departments offer courses supporting all other divisions at CCQ, especially with courses enhancing language, study skills, and knowledge of history, culture, and social studies. Whether students study Liberal Arts courses as a part of core curriculum requirements, program requirements, or electives, students enhance their abilities to communicate, think critically, examine and understand thoughts and behaviors of humankind.
