The Associate of Electrical Engineering Technology Program aims to produce graduates who are able to:

- Secure an entry-level position in electrical engineering technology or related fields.

- Matriculate into a baccalaureate degree program.

- Communicate and collaborate successfully, individually and within a team, in both professional and social settings.

- Engage in professional development, applying principles of continuous learning to adapt to new engineering technologies and career challenges.

- Consider legal, ethical, and social implications related to the practice of the electrical engineering technology profession.

Learning Outcomes

By the time of graduation, students will be able to:

- Identify and solve basic electrical engineering technology problems by applying basic principles of engineering and science.

- Produce electrical engineering technology solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health and safety, as well as cultural, social, and environmental factors.

- Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

- Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments. These must consider the impact of engineering solutions in environmental and societal contexts.

- Function effectively as a member of a technical team.

- Conduct appropriate experimentation, interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

- Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.

To be eligible for the program, a student must satisfy the following requirements:

• Foundation Student: complete L4 foundation
• Transfers from another CCQ program: a minimum GPA of 2.0
