Program Description​The Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain program provides general business knowledge as well as specialized logistics and supply chain skills in the manufacturing and service sectors. The Program is designed to prepare the graduate for a professional career and develop his or her knowledge and interest in contemporary issues to tackle complex challenges central to the logistics and supply chain management industry. It strives to meet the growing needs of the Qatari community for graduates that will fulfill the demand of highly skilled professionals and to create a vibrant academic environment that is committed to quality teaching and life-long learning.

Program Objectives

The program aims to produce graduates who are able to:

  1. Understand the fundamental knowledge related to the multidimensional effect of logistics and supply chain on the economy, public systems, national and local infrastructure, and the environment. 
  2. Demonstrate competences in logistics and supply chain management related business areas and investigate their significances in contemporary organizations.
  3. Have advanced skills in logistics functions (e.g., transportation, warehousing, distribution, etc.) through both applying best practices and applying appropriate quantitative methods.
  4. Investigate the need to oversee and design supply chains within the general business environment in an integrated manner.
  5. Demonstrate self-confidence and work assertively in group and individually to achieve common goals.
Learning Outcomes

By the time of graduation, students will be able to:

  1. Recognize the main components of logistics and supply chain management.
  2. Explain the complex theories related to logistics and supply chain management.
  3. Examine strategies relevant to operations management and their influence on domestic as well as international organizations.
  4. Explain the long-range effect of worldwide challenges on organizations.
  5. Recognize the main factors affecting distribution system design and explains the techniques that are used to optimize the number and location of warehouses and distribution centers.
  6. Analyze different costs related to logistics and supply chain including; inventory costs, transportation costs and facilities costs. 
  7. Evaluate and analyze contemporary issues and situations related to logistics and supply chain management systems.
  8. Analyze historical data as a basis to decision making.
  9. Utilize various technological tools, such as Transportation Management systems (TMSs) and Warehousing Management Systems (WMSs) to make supportable management decisions.
  10. Operate ethically and effectively in a logistics and supply chain environment.
  11. Analyze and evaluate a company's current business situation in Logistics and SCM, develop means to improve on cost and customer service by applying management science methods and to deliver respective suggestions to C-Level decision makers

Admission Policy

·        New Students:

·        Must follow CCQ's admission process outlined in the New Student webpage.

Current Students:

To be eligible to apply for the program, a student must complete the Associate Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from CCQ or another accredited higher education institution with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
