The mission of the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology is to provide students with essential knowledge and skills in the cyber and network security filed. The program provides students with hands-on training to become proficient IT professionals with strong cyber security fundamentals, who can fulfill the national needs in the field of cyber and network security in the State of Qatar.

Cyber and Network Security program prepares students for employment as Information Security Analysts, Network Security Support Specialists, Security Auditors, Ethical Hackers and other related careers in this highly sought-after domain.

The BS in Cyber and Network Security Program aims to produce graduates who:

1. Understand the essential knowledge and skills of Information Technology.
2. Are proficient professionals with strong cyber and network security fundamentals and well prepared to compete in the work environment.
3. Take on positions as experts and leaders in the Information Technology field.
4. Fulfill the national needs in the field of cyber and network security in Qatar.
5. Will contribute to the society and the achievement of Qatar's vision 2030.
6. Can collaborate effectively in teams.

By the time of graduation, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories related to Information Technology.
2. Analyze network and cybersecurity problems and apply theoretical principles of information technology and other relevant disciplines to find solutions.
3. Design, implement, and evaluate an information technology-based solution to meet a given set of security and privacy requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
4. Utilize recent techniques and tools of penetration testing for examining and evaluating the security of network and computer systems.
5. Function effectively as an expert or leader of a team engaged in activities relevant to the computer networks and cybersecurity.
6. Identify and analyze national needs of cybersecurity in Qatar and consider them in the creation, evaluation, and administration of information technology-based systems.
7. Demonstrate professionalism in contributing to the society and participating in achieving the national vision for education.
8. Show teamwork, interpersonal and collaboration skills in the workplace.
