CCQ participates in the 30th Doha International Book Fair

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has participated in the thirtieth edition of the Doha International Book Fair, which was held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from January 9-18, 2020. The College's participation witnessed the organization of a series of events presented by CCQ faculty members in cooperation with the exhibition's cultural committee. Dr. Rami Al-Rajab and Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Malik held a special program paying tribute to the musical works of Qatari composer Abdulaziz Nasser and his repretoire. Dr. Nisreen Al-Anati, on the other hand, conducted an informative workshop entitled "How to choose quality books for children and young adults".

CCQ’s participation in this year’s fair also included a seminar entitled “The act of reading between presence and absence”, which was moderated by Dr. Kamal Al-Moqabla and presented by Dr. Sheikh Ahmed and Dr. Arib Eid, in an attempt to explain the reader’s relationship with the text and the outcome they seek from the act of reading. The Book Fair’s visitors welcomed the participation of the College, and interacted with its activities, including renowned artist Ghanem Al-Sulaiti’s sharing of his professional experiences during the “Historical Scripts in Drama Works” seminar, which also witnessed the participation of Dr. Omar Al-Ajali.
