The Early Childhood Education (ECED) Program Coordinator is an administrative position with faculty status. In addition to reduced load teaching and advising duties in the program, the ECED program coordinator is responsible for developing and managing the ECED program. The ECED Program Coordinator also serves as the contact person for any issue related to the Education programs, and collaborates with other educational and non-educational entities within and outside of the college. In particular, the ECED Program Coordinator is responsible for:
· articulating program goals and providing leadership toward the achievement of excellence in the teaching, research and service activities of the program;
· establishing teaching schedules to meet the needs of students and the curriculum;
· working with other Program Coordinators, Department Chairs, Deans, and Directors to coordinate course offerings and curriculum development;
· working with program faculty to complete scheduled program reviews and to use the findings to revise the curriculum;
· conducting curriculum and program evaluations on a regular basis using continuous process improvement techniques;
· participating in department and college meetings and committees;
· Other duties, as assigned by the direct supervisor.
