Coffee with Alumni hosts CCQ outstanding alumni

As part of the Community College of Qatar’s continuous endeavors to enhance the channels of communication among its alumni and students, CCQ hosted today “Coffee with Alumni”, where the outstanding alumni Mr. Ali Al-Kaabi and Ms. Samah Abouteama shared their learning and life experiences with the students in order to motivate and inspire them to follow their path and excel.

The event was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Al- Naimi, College President, Dr. Abdallah Hazaimeh, College Dean, Associate Deans, and a number of CCQ faculty, students and graduates.

In his speech, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and President of CCQ, welcomed the outstanding graduates and students and stressed the importance of communicating with the College as a student and even after graduating.  He also pointed out that the doors of the College are always open to all CCQ Alumni at all times through the Alumni Office, not only through special events for graduates such as Coffee with Alumni and Alumni Reunion.

Ali Al-Kaabi, a distinguished graduate of the first batch of Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (Class 2017) at the Community College of Qatar and currently the Project Manager of the E-Learning program at Al Jazeera Media Institute, said in his speech, “today I am recalling the years of study I have spent under the roof of this pioneering College, and the passion to learn and to insist on success.”.  Al-Kaabi also emphasized the role of CCQ in providing the appropriate academic environment for the students to continue their study and to achieve their best at academic and professional levels.

Samah Abouteama, a graduate of the Associate of Applied Science in Customs Management (Class 2016) and currently the Head of Financial Audit at the General Authority of Customs, expressed her pleasure to participate in this important event and noted that the Community College of Qatar was one of the most important stages of her life.  She added that CCQ is one of a kind in the State of Qatar as it allows Qatari citizens to complete their study at any stage of life.

At the end of the event, open discussion sessions were held among CCQ faculty members , the students and alumni, during which attendees shared their questions in relation to various academic and professional topics.
